Buy Better
At The Refillery, we believe that buying better doesn’t have to mean buying more, buying complicated, or buying into a load of marketing fluff. It means making conscious choices about what you’re putting in your basket, how it got there, and where your money is going. And to do that, you need one thing supermarkets don’t always offer: transparency.
We’re a small team trying to do something big – rethink how we shop. And part of that means being completely open about what we do, how we price, and where we source. We’re not here to dazzle you with slick rewards schemes, pretend discounts, or confusing promotions. We just want to give you great products at honest prices, in a way that’s better for the planet and better for your wallet over time.
We Don’t Do Loyalty Cards – We Just Do Loyalty
Let’s talk about those “exclusive member-only rewards” you see everywhere these days. Supermarket reward schemes can often feel like you’re getting something for free – but we all know the truth is that they can only slash prices because the prices were too high in the first place. We’ve decided to skip the gimmicks and pass on the value directly. No flashy discounts. No points. Just fair, clear pricing from the get-go.
Transparent Pricing, Always
Because we don’t buy in the colossal quantities supermarkets do, we sometimes pay more per unit – and occasionally, you might notice a few items cost a little extra compared to a supermarket shelf. But here’s the difference: we tell you why. And for the majority of everyday staples, we absorb the markup entirely, giving them to you at cost. Our aim is for your whole basket to come out cheaper than a supermarket equivalent. Not just a single cherry-picked item waved around as a “deal”.
We’re not perfect – yet. But because we’re small, we can stay nimble, make better decisions, and actually listen to our customers. Transparency isn’t a buzzword to us – it’s how we build trust, and how we hold ourselves accountable.
